Abstract: Since the first version of the CLIPS 6.20 User`s Guide, in March 2002, this technical manual has been an essential piece to get started in non-imperative programming guided by facts and actions. It has been progressively revised with every CLIPS release. The latest version of this guide has been reviewed by Dr. Giarratano J.C. and Edited by Gary Riley in April 2021. And now includes the latest advances introduced in CLIPS version 6.40.

Section 2: Process
- The goal is to make a complete translation, paragraph by paragraph, of version 6.4 of the CLIPS User Guide2.
- All source code is treated identically in both languages, and in the Web version, a header is added to each Code Listing.
2.1. Description of the proposal:
- Complete the translation of the CLIPS User’s Guide version 6.40. Edited and revised in 2021.
- Once the translation of the contents is done, convert them to an open format (Markdown) for viewing as a book on the Internet.

23. What does the translation proposal need?
- Weather. Approximately 250 hours of work. One half hour for each page of the original Guide in English.
- Professional translation tools.
- Build a glossary with terms that are impossible to translate into Spanish.
2.4. Why this proposal?
- Because an introductory text to the CLIPS Language is still absolutely necessary. And this guide has proven to be an essential tool to get started with CLIPS.
- Because no translations of this manual have been found on the Internet.
